An Historic Occasion: The No No Miracle

000000000 000 : It's a Beautiful Thing - Clay Buchholz No Hitter

Clay Buchholz

The little kid pictured above was the pitcher at tonight's game. (FYI, he turned 23 on August 15.) It was his 2nd major league appearance ever. He was called up from the majors very recently. (Willy Mo Pena was traded so as to make room on the roster for him.) And tonight, he threw a NO HITTER.

AND I WAS THERE.

It was so exciting. I kept shushing people who almost started saying the nh words before the end of the game.

The Mets fan behind me was taking pics so I gave him my email address to send me them. I'll post them once I get them. (Isn't the 21st century amazing?)

In the meantime, does anyone know how to upload photos from a Razr to the computer? I took a bunch on my phone...

LATER...well, I obviously figured it out because I added that pic of the jumbtron. And this one, too:

This is the last pitch of the game. I wish I were in a television world of FBIs of NYPDs or CSIs. Then I could crop and pixelize and whatnot the photo so that it was clearly the last pitch. But it really, truly is.

In closing, tonight-ight-ight-t-t-t I feel-eel-eel-l-l-l like the luckiest-est-est-t-t-t man-na-na-na in the world-rld-rld-d-d-d. This is why you go to baseball games.

  1. I've never used a Razor. Normally, to get pics from a cell phone, you either need to send them via text message or to transfer them to your computer via a connection between the phone and the computer. The second option requires an adapter (can be purchased at an electronics store). Hope this helps!
