Topical Blog Colors

Hey there!

Now that Halloween is almost over, I've changed my blog colors to Halloween theme.

Uhh, way to be on the ball there, Bridgey-poo. Crap, what were you doing all day? It's not like you had errands to run, a doctor's appointment, work, two manuscripts for skewl due and a very late monthly project due and the same old harrowing circumstance at home to deal with.

Or something like that.

Regardless, it brings me to my next point, which is this: it's time for a new survey! You'll pick the next colors for the blog. Look for it in the next few moments in the left nav.

I welcome your suggestions. and if you don't like the palettes in the poll, just post your preference in the comments section (click on the envelope with the arrow underneath the post.)

You probably have a higher tolerance for caffeine than I do. Just about everyone does. But I still love my cup of coffee in the morning. Sometimes at night, I can't wait until I go to bed, so I can wake up and drink coffee.

My favorite way to have my coffee is with two inches of soy milk and one Splenda (sweetner from heaven).

The best coffee I've ever had was at Ikea. Sorry to continue obsessing on Ikea, but I'm telling you, it was good.

Okay, so if I have coffee after 2 PM, it will keep me up at least three hours past my bed time.

Terrible.

In the fall, I'm so happy because the Pumpkin Latte is back. Starbucks is the best but Dunkin' is closer to work so I get one of theirs every day. Small and lite is only 80 calories!

Oh god, I love coffee.

Colbert Report Running into Election Trouble

Colbert Report Running into Election Trouble

Colbert just had this guy Massie Something on from some clean election organization thingy. Colbert's running into problems with the Federal Election Laws for his campaign to run for president in South Carolina - and South Carolina only.

The problem is that Doritos is sponsoring his campaign, but no corporation is allowed to do that. So, here's my suggestion:

Have people donate to the Colbert for President election (in South Carolina only). Whatever amount is raised for the election, have Doritos match this amount, or double it, in a donation to Stephen Colbert's favorite charity, The Yellow Ribbon Fund.

I should email them about this idea.

Brian Daubach and Other Random Red Sox Stuff

Twins? An examination Brian Daubach and Vince Vaughn

Mom and were looking through the 2004 roster to try to remember who was on both Red Sox World Series Championship teams. (Listed below).

Anyway, I forgot Brian Daubach was on the roster that year, 2004. I was looking at his face and realized he looks a crapload like Vince Vaughn. Check this out.

This is Daubach. This is Vince Vaughn.

Am I wrong?

Here's who was there in 2004 and 2007:

Mo Vaughn
Bill Lee
John Valentin
Oil Can Boyd
Tony Conigliaro
Marty Barrett
Butch Henderson
Dave Henderson

But that was just in spirit.

There, Then and Now

For real, it was:

  1. David
  2. Manny
  3. Timlin
  4. Schilling
  5. Wakefield
  6. Mirabitchy
  7. Jason
  8. Youklis
