The Trouble with Laundry

At Christmastime, I brought a load of laundry to do at my mom's because we don't have a washer and dryer here. But something happened and I didn't get a chance to do it. So it's been sitting there for over a month. Be tty, because she's a goodmum, did it for me.

"Thanks," I said, "because I only had one pair of underwear left."

"Well," said Elizabeth, "good luck with those pink things. They'll friggen choke yah."
Because I had a few pairs of lacy thongs and Mom washed them for me.

Ew. Weird.

Honestly, I think this would only happen to me.

  1. I used to bring my clothes home from UMass every two or three weeks, including my sheets (because I don't do laundry). Drop off the dirty stuff for Cheryl to take care of and come back for it later. Well, at one point, a pair of Frank's boxers got lost in my bed, and wound up in the sheets. Cheryl found them, cleaned them and folded them along with the rest of my laundry. Her only comment was "I hope you're still on the pill." Gotta love her.
