Election Day is Finally Here!

No lines, though it was busy for sure. I was checked off when I went in, and checked off by a Boston Policewoman when I exited. I have never been checked by an officer of the law when voting, but I guess that's what they do here in Boston? JNSP.

Anyway, the whole point is: dude, I just voted for an African American man to be president of the United States and he will probably be the winner. Holy Crap. And it isn't an action movie or a television show or anything like that; it is really really real.

Here's the other thing - and this is legitimately more important than the ethnicity of the cnadidate: I vote FOR Obama, and not AGAINST his opponent, sentiment-wise. I mean, I actually LIKE the candidate I voted for as opposed to being ambivalent (like dear old John Kerry) or voting for someone as an act of defiance (like silly old Ralph Nader).

If you haven't voted yet, please remember to do so. Your vote sends a message, whether in a blue or red state, and of course especially if you're in a purple state.
